Brief Bio / Other Information
Dave Simons grew up in upstate New York and started drawing around the age of 8. In the 70s he joined the Coast Guard and managed to remain stationed in New York, where he attended a workshop taught by John Buscema. Working his way up, his first printed work was for the first issue of Howard the Duck, and his first work for Marvel was a fill-in issue Falcon story with Sal Buscema. Dave Simons has worked on a host of characters in a lucrative comic book career, including Falcon, Ghost Rider, Hulk, and Conan, among many more. Dave has also enjoyed a thriving career in animation and as a storyboard artist.
